Hi there, my name is Lena. I am a licensed and insured Small Animal Massage Therapist here in SW Washington.

I attended Oregon State University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise and Sports Science. After graduating, I attended the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Green River Community College.

I worked for 14 years in Physical Therapy before wanting to return to my passion.

I have a loving husband and 2 beautiful daughters.  They are my pride and joy. We live on a peaceful 5 acres in La Center, Washington.

Our family has several pets including  dogs, a cat,  rabbits, a sulcata tortoise, numerous chickens and ducks. I love to spend time outside gardening, hiking, arts & crafts and just having fun with my loved ones.

Since my family is so important to me, I want to spend as much time as possible with my young kids while pursuing my passion for helping animals.

I transitioned from Physical Therapy to Canine Hydrotherapy and  attended the Northwest School of Animal Massage. I graduated, passed my national board exams, and that's how Therapaws Small Animal Massage began.

Reason for the change

As my two older dogs aged and began experiencing mobility issues, aches, and pains, I wanted to learn how to help them feel better. This led me to Canine Hydrotherapy and attending Animal Massage School. I applied my experience from the human therapy field to enhance my learning.

I really enjoy helping pets feel better, it brings my heart much joy and happiness.
